Does anyone have good recommendations for remarketing companies? What is the typical payment method (cpm, cpc, cpa)? What kind of conversion rates have you seen?

I don't know the conversion rates offhand, but we use Acerno to remarket traffic that visited our site. I believe it's a rev share deal.

And you are happy with the results?

We use Fetch Back and are very happy.

Sorry to be the slow poke, but could one of you explain what remarketing means for the less savvy? How do these remarketers get back in front of visitors once they have left the site?

It's all based on cookies. The company will cookie vistors to your site and as they navigate around the web they will "remarket" to them. What is very powerful is that you can often display dynamic ads that show an category or item that the vistor viewed and/or left in their carts.

Hey guys would love to hear more. I am starting a test with Acerno but am also looking into Steelhouse Media. Has anyone heard of them? David what kind of results are you getting from Acerno?

I'm about a month late here but what about experience with Dotomi? http://dotomi.com/ I have heard good things about them too and am interested in understanding anyones experience, type of performance they have seen etc.

Thanks Dave! I am talking to them. They are expensive, but they seem to have good technology.

We used Fetchback last year but ultimately cut off our contract with them. I was paying them on a pay per action basis but they were taking credit for what I thought were customers that were going to come back and order from us anyway even though a display add was shown. Most of our return visitors came from visitors only seeing the ad but never clicking on it.

Did you get a baseline on your return customer rate? It's important to know can that you can get a good idea of that growth they bring to the table.

Yes but there there were a lot of inconsistencies in the data they provided to us. I don't remember everything but if you give me a call we can discuss this.
